I Am Not Lost

I Am Not Lost.jpg

I am not lost. He knows exactly where I am.

To say I am not his child because my relationship, my life, with him looks different than yours is a lie. An insult.

Am I not Garett’s wife because our relationship dynamic is different than what you’d prescribe?

Am I not a mother to my children because I parent differently than you? Or because the act of bearing these precious souls has fucked with my brain?

Of course not!

Get away from me, Satan!

Those hateful lies aren’t welcome in my house.

In my house, all people are welcome.
Respect is demanded.
Inclusivity is a given.
Boundaries are respected.

Those who reside here are children of a God of love and mercy.

Those who visit are welcome no matter their creed or devotion.

My faith is strong enough for deviation, pivots, diversity, and questions.

You undermine yourself by overestimating your power over me.

You say we serve the same God, but do we? Because if my faith walk intimidates your god, then it seems that something is amiss.
